This wrench is designed with grooved pins, which are designed to hold the camshaft pulley stationary while loosening and tightening the center shaft bolt.
It is useful on most Asian overhead cam engines, especially on transverse mounted V6 engines, such as the VG30 used in Nissan Maxima, as well as, the 3VZFE and 1MZFE engines used in Toyota Camry. The rear pulleys on these models are in very close proximity to the shock tower making removal and replacement difficult without this locking device.
This wrench is designed with small diameter grooved pins to allow access to small hole cam gears. The specially designed pins lock onto the cam gear allowing secure grip when tightening or loosening cam gear bolts.
Small diameter pins (4.9mm) with special groove.
Pins lock onto cam gear for secure hold.
Works great on early Honda’s and Acura’s 1988-1995 Civics and Integra.
